I want to set up a custom domain for my wallet. How can I do it?
This article explains how to set up a domain for your credentials with a Custom Domain add-on.
Step 1: Once you’re logged in to your Certifier Dashboard, navigate to the Profile → Settings menu at the top right corner of your screen.
Step 2: Locate the Issuer tab and choose the Custom Domain option:
Step 3: Enter the custom domain to the corresponding field and click “Next”
We recommend using a subdomain for this purpose, for example:
certificates.yourcompanyexample.com
Please note: as soon as the custom domain is set up, all your certificates will be hosted under it. If you need to reset the custom domain, please contact us at support@certifier.io
Step 4: Confirm your domain ownership by adding 2 TXT records on the side of your DNS provider:
Please allow DNS records to propagate for around 5 minutes. After that, the status of your records will change from “Pending Validation” to “Active”.
Step 5: Add the CNAME record to finish the validation process. CNAME record propagation may take up to 30-60 minutes depending on your DNS provider.
Please note: You don't need to create a separate subdomain on your DNS provider side. Subdomain creation automatically adds an A record pointing to your DNS provider's IP. It will conflict with the CNAME record we're trying to create.
Click on Verify CNAME to finish the process. Once done, the status will be changed to “Reachable”.
Please note: some DNS providers do not allow having two conflicting CNAME/TXT records. In this case, please remove the TXT record for your subdomain once the verification is completed. After that, you may move on to the third step and add a CNAME record.
Good job! You have just finished setting up the custom domain. The final result looks like this:
