How to edit issued credentials

Noticed a mistake in the credential you issued? No worries, you can easily edit it.

Introduction

Even after your credentials are issued and sent out to your recipients, you can still easily make changes to them. They will apply immediately, without even needing to resend them!

You can change how the issued credentials look in three ways:

How to edit Credentials Details

❗️Important note: You can only edit the values of the attributes that were added when the credential was first issued. If something wasn’t filled in at that time, you won’t be able to add or change it later.

If you want to change the values provided for your recipients, such as their name, email, issue dates, or any other custom attributes you may have used, you should visit the Credentials tab.

You'll just need to find the credential you're interested in on the list. Then, scroll to the right and press on View:

Once you view the credentials, you should notice the Information section on the left.

You can edit the information right there - just change the value in the specific field and press save:

💡 Tip: After editing the information, you don't need to resend the credentials. The changes will be automatically applied and visible on the recipient page once you click on Save!



How to edit the Design

If the changes you want to make are related to the visual aspect of your Certificate or Badge (for example - static text, color, or font changes), you will need to edit the Design.

You'll just need to enter the Designs tab, find the design you'd like to work on, and click on Edit. Once you enter the design builder, you can make the changes.

Make sure to save after you're done!

❗Important: You can freely edit the designs anytime you want. Just remember that the changes will be reflected in all previously issued certificates.


How to edit the Group's Description

Let's say you issued your credentials, but when you enter any of them, you see they're missing descriptions. How to fix that?

That can be easily done in the Groups tab. Enter the group you issued credentials from, and navigate to the Enhanced Description section:

Once you fill in all the details, press on Save! The changes will apply right away.
