Manage Your Profile and Credential Visibility

This guide will walk you through the process of managing the visibility of your profile and individual credentials.

Managing Profile and Credential Visibility

How to hide a profile or credential

To hide the profile or credential, you have to log in to your Recipient's Profile first:

  1. Profile Settings Button: Click on the Profile Settings button from your Recipient Profile page.

  2. Email Verification: A modal window will appear asking for your email. Once submitted, you’ll receive a verification code to your inbox.

  3. Enter the Code: Input the verification code into the modal to confirm your identity and access your profile settings.

Once inside the Profile Settings, you’ll have full control over the visibility of your credentials and recipient profile:

  • Hide Your Profile: Toggle the visibility of your entire profile, making it invisible in the Issuer's Directory of certified recipients. If you choose to hide your profile, all the credentials you have will also become hidden.

  • Hide Specific Credentials: If you only want to hide certain credentials but keep your profile visible, you can toggle the visibility of each credential individually. This way, you can curate exactly what others see.

Your credentials and profile can be hidden or shown at any time, giving you full control over your digital presence without needing the issuer's intervention.

When others open your hidden credential or profile, here is how the page will appear to them:

The "edit your profile settings" button allows you to log into your Recipient Profile once again.

How to unhide a profile or credential

If you decide to make your profile or specific credentials visible again, you can do so easily in a few different ways:

  1. Through Any Credential: Open any credential that you still have access to, such as the link sent to you via email when the credential was first issued. From there, you can access your profile settings through the "Edit your profile settings" button (See the attached screenshot above).

  2. Through the Credential Retrieval Page: If you no longer have access to your credentials, you can visit the Credential Retrieval Page of your issuer. This page allows you to search for your Recipient Profile using your email. Once you find your credentials, you can access your profile settings to unhide your profile or credentials.

If you're having trouble finding your credentials or the retrieval page, you can always use this link to retrieve your credentials directly:

By following these steps, you can easily manage and update the visibility of your profile and credentials, keeping full control over your digital presence.
