What is an MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to external tools securely. It gives your AI assistant the ability to interact with apps on your behalf.
Certifier MCP server uses this standard to give your AI assistant direct access to your Certifier workspace. Once connected, your assistant can:
search, list, and inspect existing credentials
create, issue and send credentials
create and manage credential templates (groups)
list and inspect available design templates
How to Set Up Certifier MCP
Connect any MCP-compatible AI assistant to Certifier using this server URL:

Connect Certifier to ChatGPT
Follow these steps to connect Certifier MCP to ChatGPT and start issuing & manaing credentials directly from your prompts.
Step 1: Open ChatGPT settings
In ChatGPT, click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner
Select Settings
Step 2: Go to Apps and Enable Developer Mode
In the Settings menu, open the Apps tab
Click Advanced settings
Find Developer mode
Toggle it ON
ā ļø Important note: If Developer mode is disabled for you, contact your organizationās admin or owner and ask them to grant you access.
Step 3: Create a new app
Go back to the Apps section
Click Create app
Step 4: Add Certifier MCP
Fill in the app details including MCP Server URL:

Leave authentication as OAuth (default)
Check the confirmation box
Click Create
Step 5: Authorize access
Youāll be redirected to Certifier
Choose your workspace
Click Approve access
Done!
Certifier MCP is now connected to ChatGPT. You can start using it right away, for example:
Issue credentials to your recipients from a prompt
Create credential templates for new programs
List and inspect available design templates
Connect Certifier to Claude
Follow these steps to connect Certifier MCP to Claude and start issuing & managing credentials directly from your prompts.
Step 1: Open Claude settings
Click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner
Select Settings
Step 2: Add Custom Connector
In the left sidebar, find Connectors
Open the Connectors section
Click Add custom connector
ā ļø Important note: If you donāt see the option to add a custom connector, contact your organizationās admin or owner and ask them to grant you access.
Step 3: Add Certifier MCP
Fill in the app name (Certifier), and add the MCP Server URL:

Step 4: Connect Certifier
Find Certifier (Custom) in your connectors list
Click Connect
Step 5: Authorize access
Youāll be redirected to Certifier
Select your workspace
Click Approve access
Done!
Certifier MCP is now connected to Claude. You can start using it right away, for example:

Set Up Certifier MCP for Your Organization
Use this setup if you want to enable Certifier MCP across your team or organization.

Step 1: Ensure workspace access
Before connecting MCP, make sure:
Users are invited to your Certifier workspace
They have the correct role (Admin / Editor, etc.)
š Only users with access to the workspace will be able to use MCP actions.
