Limits & Setup

How many groups can I create?

The limit of active groups depends on your subscription plan. You can create:

  • Up to 5 groups on the Starter plan.

  • Up to 100 groups on the Professional plan.

  • Unlimited groups on the Advanced plan.

This limit does not reset.

When you hit the limit, you should consider reusing existing groups or upgrading to a higher plan.

Can I use multiple designs in one group?

As of now, each group can include one certificate and/or one badge design.

If you need to add more documents to your group, consider using PDF Attachments.

All the attached PDFs are displayed in the Supporting Documents section of the Digital Wallet and are available for easy download:

If your goal is to give multiple certificates or badges reflecting different levels of achievement, you can use multiple groups or Pathways.

How to preview my group before issuing credentials?

You'll just need to enter your group and press the Preview button:

Using the left-side menu, you can easily:

  1. Add Issuer Information, such as your Issuer name and description.

  2. Enrich Your Credential by filling in the Enhanced Description.

  3. Customize Branding, adding elements like your logos, social media links, or changing the colors.

  4. Set Up Domain - a custom domain, under which your credentials will be hosted.

How to duplicate a group?

You can easily duplicate a group in a few simple steps:

  1. Visit the Groups tab.

  2. Find the group you're interested in.

  3. Click on Options (⋮) → Duplicate.

  4. Adjust the settings and other details.

  5. Press save. And that's it!

Management

Can I delete a group?

You won’t be able to delete a group if it has certificates issued from it. To delete the group, start by deleting all the certificates linked to it. After that, you’ll be able to delete the group itself.

Think of it like a chain:

Credential Template → Group → Issued Certificate

You need to delete from the end of the chain (certificates) first before removing the group.

When should I reuse a group?

Reusing groups allows you to issue credentials for recurring events or training without creating a new group each time. This helps you stay within your plan’s group limit and makes the whole issuing process faster and easier to manage.

Best practices for reusing groups:

  • Create one group per credential type, not per session or recipient list. For example, if you run a recurring webinar, use the same group for every session.

  • Use dynamic fields and custom attributes (like [event_name] or [issue_date]) to personalize credentials automatically for each issuance.

  • Avoid putting session-specific info in group titles or descriptions unless you plan to create a new group for every event.

Reuse a group whenever:

  • The certificate or badge design stays the same (only the dynamic attributes change).

  • The purpose of the credential remains consistent (e.g., same course or certification type).

  • You’re simply issuing credentials to a new list of recipients.

Create a new group only when you plan to use a different design, email template, or group details — or if no existing group fits your needs.

Can I update the group after I issued credentials?

Yes, you can update your group even after credentials have been issued. Any changes you make will automatically show up on all previously issued credentials – no need to resend anything.
