Why do you need custom email templates?
Certifier includes a default email template that gets sent to your recipients. It comes with the Certifier’s logo, a standard heading, message, and button.
If you want to make it your own – like swapping out the logo or changing the message – you can create a custom email template. That way, your emails reflect your brand and voice, not ours.
Here’s what the default template looks like:
Why do you need custom email branding?
Email branding controls how your email template looks – like the logo size, button color, and background. By default, Certifier uses a light grey background, a blue button, and a logo that takes up 30% of the width.
But if you’ve added your own logo, that blue button might not match your style. With custom email branding, you can tweak things like button color to match your brand and keep everything looking consistent for your recipients.
How to create a custom email template and email branding?
👑 This option is available to our Professional plan users and above.
To create a custom email template, go to the Emails section, click on the Create email template button, and select the type of template you want to create:
You will be redirected to the Certifier's email builder. Go through all the tabs to customize your email:
1. Content tab
Place the cursor on the place you want to insert your content, add your Company's logo or other images, change the text of the button, and add dividers if needed.
If you want to remove some elements, place the cursor after them and click Backspace.
💡 The button can be used on your design only once, and the link it leads to is always the Credential URL.
If you want to just edit the text, double-click on it and enter new text.
2. Branding tab
Next, in the Branding tab, you can choose a branding for this particular template. You can customize the following categories:
Template: change the background color, template color, and border-radius.
Text styles: modify the color of each part of your text, adjust its size and font, and change the link color and style.
Button: adjust text color and size, choose button color, and border radius that aligns with your branding.
Divider: add a divider and change its color.
💡 Changes in branding made inside the template will result in the creation of New Branding in the Email Brandings tab.
When you create a new template, your custom branding will be automatically applied!
3. Attributes tab
In the Attributes tab, you can add some additional attributes to your email template text. They will be replaced with valid data from your spreadsheet or automation.
Check this article to understand how the dynamic attributes work.
4. Settings tab
Finally, you can name your template and modify its subject in the Settings tab. The subject will be displayed to your recipients once they receive the credentials you issued.
Once you are satisfied with all the components of your template, hit the Create button!
Congratulations! You have just built a great email template and customized it with an outstanding email branding style! You can create more email templates for each of your courses or webinars, and adjust them to your needs by applying specific branding styles to each of them.
